Acetyl cysteine may be used in respiratory diseases in which a reduction in
the viscosity of the bronchial secretion is required to facilitate coughing, such as in
asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis.

Composition
The active substance in this drug is Acetylcysteine.
Excipients: Sodium bicarbonate (E500 (II)), Citric acid (E330), LACTOSE, Sodium sulfate (E514 (I)), Sodium cyclamate (E592, Saccharin sodium (E954), Povidone (E1201), Simethicon, Methylcellulose (E461), Macrogols, Sorbic acid (E200), Lemon flavoring.

Dosage
The usual dosage of Acetylcysteine Sanias is as follows:
Adults
1 effervescent tablet of 600 mg once a day or 1 effervescent tablet of 200 mg 3 times a day.
Children over 7 years of age
1 effervescent tablet of 200 mg 3 times a day.
Children 2 to 7 years of age
1 effervescent tablet of 200 mg 2 times daily.
Acetylcysteine Sanias is contraindicated for use in children under 2 years of age (see section 4.3).
Acetylcysteine Sanias 600 mg, effervescent tablets are not suitable for use in children and adolescents.
Other forms and strengths are more likely to be considered in this group of patients.

Indication for use.
The required dose is administered by dissolving an effervescent tablet in half a glass of water. This produces a solution that can be taken immediately.
In patients with a muffled cough reflex (elderly and debilitated patients) it is recommended to take the effervescent tablet in the morning.
