Davitamon Vitamin K has been specifically developed to give babies, who are breastfed, the vitamin K that they need.
Why is vitamin K important for babies?
Vitamin K plays an important role in coagulation. The body can make its own vitamin K, but babies make too little of it. Right after the baby has been born the docter or gynecologist will administer vitamin K.
Breastmilk does not supply enough vitamin K. That's why babies, who are breastfed, need extra vitamin K during the first 3 months. Bottle feeding already has vitamin K added to the formula.
Health Counsil
The Health Counsil advises to give 150 mcg vitamin K per day to babies, from day 8 up to 12 weeks, who are breastfed.
