Diarrhea Inhibitor Htp Loperamide Capsule 2mg 20 pcs.

Usage:
For adults and children over 8 years of age.
Acute diarrhea.
Adults:
Initial dose: 2 capsules at once.
Maintenance dose: If thin stools persist, add one capsule every 2 hours (maximum 8
capsules per day = 24 hours).
Children over 8 years of age:
Initial dose: 1 capsule.
Maintenance dose: If thin stools persist, take one capsule every 2 hours (maximum 3 capsules per 20 kg body weight per day = 24 hours).
Chronic diarrhea
With chronic diarrhea, the dose should be adjusted until a stool as normal as possible is produced. It is recommended to check from time to time whether the dose can be reduced and the treatment possibly discontinued.
Adults:
Initial dose: 2 capsules per day (= 24 hours).
Maintenance dose: Then take 1-6 capsules per day until a stool is produced as normal as possible (maximum 8 capsules per day = 24 hours).
Children over 8 years of age:
Initial dose: 1 capsule per day (= 24 hours)
Maintenance dose: Then take 1-6 capsules per day until a stool as normal as possible is produced. Maximum, depending on body weight, 3 capsules per 20 kg per day (= 24 hours).
Do not use the capsules for more than 14 days without consulting your doctor about it. The doctor will check whether the dose can be reduced and, if necessary, whether the treatment can be stopped.
In case you notice that Diarrhea Inhibitor HTP Loperamide HCl 2 mg is working too strongly or too little, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Method of administration
Swallow the capsules whole with some water.

Do not use if
- You are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine.
- You should never give this medicine to children under 2 years of age.
- The capsules are not suitable for children under 8 years of age.
- Do not use this medicine if you think the cause of the diarrhea is poisoning, for example
with a heavy metal (such as mercury, lead or cadmium).
- You should not use this medicine if you have a "megacolon. This is a greatly dilated colon
colon; a serious condition that can occur in patients with Hirschsprung's disease, Crohn's
Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis, recognized by a very painful distended abdomen, fever
and an accelerated heart rate.
- Do not use this drug if you actually have a constipation of the intestines, causing some
watery stool "leaking through. This occurs with certain bowel disorders.
- Do not use this drug if you have persistent abdominal pain, if you have a high fever, and/or if your
stool contains mucus and/or blood. These symptoms may be due to food poisoning or an infection or inflammation of the colon.
- Do not use this drug if you have bacterial inflammation of the colon and/or small intestine caused by invasive organisms, including Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter.
- Do not use this drug if you have severe intestinal inflammation (for example, ulcerative colitis or
pseudomembranous colitis resulting from the use of certain antibiotics).
- Do not use this drug in all cases where normal bowel movements should not be suppressed. Administration should be stopped immediately in cases of constipation or abdominal swelling.
