Hirudoid, hydrophilic cream
Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate, the active ingredient in Hirudoid, is an anticoagulant and belongs to the heparinoid group (heparin-derived anticoagulants).
Application
Hirudoid is used as an aid in the treatment of thrombophlebitis (inflammation in a superficial vein in which a blood clot forms, usually in the leg).
Composition
Active substance: The active substance in this drug is mucopolysaccharide polysulfate (3 mg per gram of cream).
Dosage
The recommended dosage is up to 3 to 5 cm of cream three times a day
Directions for use.
Apply the cream to and around the affected area and massage in lightly. If necessary, for example at the beginning of treatment, you may apply more cream. In case of very painful inflammations or if blood clots have formed, carefully distribute the cream on and around the affected area. Then cover the skin with, for example, a gauze pad.
