Claims
Ibuprofen belongs to the group of so-called prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors.
It has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.

What this medicine is used for.
This medicine is intended for patients with:
- menstrual pain;
- fever and pain from flu and colds or after vaccination;
- toothache;
- headache;
- muscle pain;
- rheumatic pain

Do not use if
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients of Leidapharm Ibuprofen 400 mg
- if you have had asthma attacks or other hypersensitivity reactions after previous use of similar medicines (such as acetylsalicylic acid)
- if you have a gastrointestinal ulcer (existing or recurrent), gastrointestinal bleeding or other bleeding such as brain bleeding
- if you have inflammation of the colon associated with ulceration (ulcerative colitis)
- if you have severe liver or kidney dysfunction
- if the heart has insufficient pumping power (severe heart failure)
- during the last three months of pregnancy

You should also not use ibuprofen if you are prone to bleeding or are being treated with blood-thinning drugs.

Composition
Active substance: Each coated tablet contains 400 mg ibuprofen
Excipients:Microcrystalline cellulose (E460), precoagulated starch, croscarmellose sodium (E468), colloiddaal silica, talc (E553b), magnesium stearate (E470b), sugar, acacia (E414), titanium dioxide (E171), calcium carbonate, polyoxyl-35-castor oil, erythrosine (E127), sodium benzoate (E211), shellac (E904), white beeswax (E901), carnauba wax (E903)

Dosage
Fever and pain in flu and cold or after vaccination, toothache, headache, muscle pain and rheumatic pain:
For adults and children 12 years and older, the first dose is 400 mg (1 tablet), followed by 200-400 mg at a time as needed. Maximum 1200 mg (3 tablets) per 24 hours.

Menstrual pain:
Start with 1200 mg (3 tablets) per day spread over 3 - 4 times. In severe cases the dosage can be increased to 1600 mg (4 tablets) per day spread over 3 - 4 times

Directions for use.
The tablets are best taken whole with a generous amount of water (half a glass). Rheumatoid arthritis patients who suffer from morning stiffness can possibly take the first dose immediately after waking up on an empty stomach with some tea or another drink. Because this is done on the empty stomach, the drug is absorbed quickly and relief from pain and morning stiffness occurs quickly. Subsequent doses can be taken after meals with plenty of water.
