Laxative drink lactulose 500 mg/g can be used when constipation is caused by too hard or too little stool.
Composition:
The active substance in this medicine is lactulose; the syrup contains 500 mg of lactulose per gram (50%), which is equivalent to 667 mg of lactulose per ml of syrup. There are no other substances in this medicine.
Usage:
If your doctor does not prescribe otherwise, the usual dosage is as follows:
For constipation:
Adults: 30 ml per day.
Children aged 7-14 years: 15 ml per day
Children 1-6 years old: 10 ml per day
Infants: 5 ml per day
As a rule, the dosage can be reduced after only a few days.
It may take a few days before the effect of lactulose becomes noticeable.
