NiQuitin Clear is used for smoking cessation. The active ingredient in NiQuitin Clear is nicotine. It acts as a temporary aid so that you can stop smoking. It works to relieve nicotine withdrawal symptoms as a result of quitting smoking. If possible, you should use NiQuitin Clear as part of a smoking cessation program.

NiQuitin Clear patches are transparent, rectangular constant-release patches that deliver a constant amount of nicotine to the body through the skin over a 24-hour period.
NiQuitin Clear is less harmful than smoking because NiQuitin Clear does not contain the tar and carbon monoxide that cigarette smoke contains.

Composition
Active substance: nicotine
Excipients: ethylene vinyl acetate co-polymer, polyethylene terephthalate, ethylene vinyl acetate, polyethylene film, polyisobutylene and white ink (titanium dioxide E171)

Dosage
For smokers who smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day, the following dosage schedule is recommended:
Dose Time Schedule
Step 1 NiQuitin Clear 21 mg/24 hours for first 6 weeks 1 patch every day, then
Step 2 NiQuitin Clear 14 mg/24 hours for next 2 weeks every day 1 patch, then
Step 3 NiQuitin Clear 7 mg/24 hours for last 2 weeks 1 patch every day.

Directions for use.
NiQuitin Clear plasters should be applied once a day.
Stick a new NiQuitin Clear patch every day at the same time, preferably immediately after waking up, on a clean, dry, hairless part of the skin. Do not apply to areas where the skin folds (such as near your joints) or where folds form in the skin during movement.

Do not apply NiQuitin Clear plasters to skin areas that are red, irritated or damaged.
NiQuitin Clear plasters should be worn continuously for 24 hours. If desired, plasters may be removed for sleeping. However, 24-hour use is recommended for optimal effect against smoking cravings in the morning.
A patch should not be worn for more than 24 hours.
After 24 hours, the used patch should be removed and a new patch applied to a different skin spot.
Fold a plaster you removed in half with the adhesive side facing inward and place it in the empty sachet of the new plaster to be applied. Dispose of the sachet containing the used plaster with care, out of the reach of children.
A skin area that has been used for a plaster should be left unused for at least seven days before a new plaster can be applied to that area.
Do not use multiple plasters at the same time.

Do not use if
- If you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine. These substances can be
in section 6.
- if you do not smoke, smoke occasionally or in children.
- if you have had a heart or brain attack in the last few months
- if you suffer from unstable heart spasm (angina pectoris)
- Prinzmetal angina or severe
cardiac arrhythmias.
- NiQuitin Clear should be used by young people (12-17 years old) only on the advice of a doctor.

Medicines can be harmful to the unborn child. If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, you should consult your doctor before using NiQuitin Clear. If you are pregnant and unable to stop smoking, you may use NiQuitin Clear under the supervision of your
doctor
