Noscapine suppresses the cough stimulus. Noscapine is not suitable for coughs involving coughing up phlegm.
Composition
The active substance is noscapine hydrochloride, 1 mg per ml of syrup. The other substances are citric acid(E330), methyl parahydroxybenzoate(E218), sucrose sodium, sucrose, raspberry essence, purified water.
Usage
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Are you unsure about the correct use? If so, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is
Adults: 15-30 ml 3 to 4 times a day (=24 hours).
Children 6-12 years old: 15 ml 2 to 4 times a day.
Children aged 3-6 years: 7.5 ml 2 to 4 times a day.
If you notice that Noscapine HCl 1=1 PCH is working too strongly or too little, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Method of use
The dosage should be measured with the measuring cup provided. Do not exceed the stated dosage.
Do not use the syrup for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.
