Application
Zovirax Cold sore cream can be used for the treatment of cold sores caused by the herpes virus.
Composition
Active substance: Aciclovir 50 mg/g
Excipients: propylene glycol, petroleum jelly, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid kerosene, poloxamer 407,
sodium lauryl sulfate, glycerol monostearate, macrogol stearate 100, dimethicon 20 and
purified water.
Dosage
Adults and children:
As soon as you develop symptoms, apply Zovirax Cold sore cream 5 times a day, at 4-hour intervals. There is no need to apply cream at night. Treatment should be continued for 4 days. If healing is not complete after 10 days from the start of treatment, you are advised to consult a doctor. If you repeatedly suffer from a severe cold sore, it is recommended to consult your doctor.
Method of use
Apply Zovirax Cold sore by squeezing a little cream from the tube or pump onto your fingertip and then applying it to the affected parts. The affected areas are those parts, including the lips, where the infection is active, i.e. where blisters are about to appear or have already appeared.
To prevent transmission of the virus to other parts of the body (e.g. the eyes) or to other persons (e.g. by kissing), it is important to avoid touching the vesicles as much as possible and to wash your hands before and after touching the vesicles.
